Our Mission

The mission of the Avian Science Center is to promote ecological awareness and informed decision making through the collection, synthesis, and dissemination of science-based information on western birds.

Winter in Montana

The Avian Science Center is in the midst of analyzing data and writing reports from our projects in the Big Hole, the Upper Clark Fork Valley, Dillon area, and the Madison River Valley. Grant writing is also on top of our list. Since we are always trying to find excuses to go out into the field, some of us from the Avian Science Center partnered up with other folks around the Missoula Valley for the Audubon Christmas Bird Count this December.
